About Us

Motorcycletouring.ie was started by myself Michael Ganly following the success since 2004 of the tours I organised through my  company wines2order Ltd., Following many years of travelling to visit vineyards in France and Spain on my bike (for  research purposes !) I was encouraged to bring other motorcyclists to visit and experience the scenery and food and wines . In 2007 on behalf of BMW Ireland I led their tour group to the Motorad event in Garmish ( Bavaria). 

My background in motorcycling is that in 2001 I returned to motorcycling following a number of years away ( about 20 !) . I undertook some training on my return and completed a number of courses up to the advanced Rospa training where I achieved a Rospa Gold and followed on to complete the Rospa Diploma in Advanced Motorcycle Training. I am now a senior motorcycle instructor with MSA  Rider Training, an approved ADI and approved examiner for AON/AXA and Quinn Direct .

We also try to add some additional experiences, such as a visit to a vineyard, a cookery course in Italy, an Opera in Verona or maybe paragliding and many more.

In addition to promoting our motorcycle tours I plan to develop this site as a source of information for anyone travelling to many of the countries in Europe. I will add any information on hotels, routes , places for lunch etc., so if you have any information that you wish to share please send it to me.
